One of the concerns electric consumers have brought up is that they had little information given to them when they leave a defunct electric company and the state moves them to a provider of last resort.
Some electric customers are under the false assumption that fraud has taken place and they were unlawfully switched from one company to another.
If possible there needs to be a way to make it abundantly clear to the customer whose electric company had to close down because they could not fulfil their financial requirements that they were moved to a new company to prevent their service from being immediately interrupted.
This provider of last resort service is a valuable service but many consumers at first take it as a fraudulent scam being committed against them and blame the provider they are being switched too.
