“Glacial Energy Scam” is not a new topic for electricrates.com but recent information found on DailyCaller.com has given reason for an update.
Barack Obama’s 2012 presidential campaign has come under fire for being connected to blood diamonds.
This connection comes through Marjorie Rawls Roberts, a fundraising bundler. She is expected to have raised somewhere between $100,000 to $200,000 for the campaign.
Roberts helped Glacial Energy’s director of public and government relations, Margie Duncan by representing her in court. This is the closest but not the only connection she has with Glacial.
Economic Development Corporation, approved by Gov. John de Jongh of the Virgin Islands, gives tax breaks to Glacial Energy. It is speculated Roberts, a resident of the U.S. Virgin Islands, could have played a role in extending tax breaks.
Will Obama give back the funds and distance himself from this? Not at the moment. Pressure will rise if more information comes out connecting Roberts to Glacial Energy’s Blood Diamond Scam. Obama’s opposition will use anything shady they can find to hurt his campaign.
